Hannah’s State High School Rodeo Finals

June 16, 2009

I forgot to put up Aunt H’s high school finals results from this morning up. I’ll keep updating this until she is done for the week, which hopefully won’t be until this weekend.

H’s Time Winning times

Tuesday: Barrels (8:00 am) ~19.0 17.2

Poles (1:00 pm) 20.5 20.2

This makes her 3rd…she wins $$ & a belt buckle!! If she has another good run tomorrow she will get to go to the final round on Saturday. She runs again tonight at 7:00. She will have to place high to make it to the finals (they’ll probably take the top 10 or 20 to the final rodeo; they average your times). We hope she’ll do really well, her horse has run 19s before, so we know they can do it!

Poles (7:00 pm) 20.8 waiting

We’re not sure, but this time should place her in the top 10 that get to go to the finals on Saturday. We should know sometime today!

She decided not to compete in the barrels again today so that she can save her horse for this weekend if she needs to. She starts cutting tomorrow at some point, so I’ll try to post updates on that too.

Unfortunately, not really. She’s taking the barrels pretty wide I think. To go to the short go this weekend in barrels she would need to place in the top few, that probably puts her around the middle of the times. Hopefully she’ll have a MUCH better run in the poles this afternoon (that’s what she is best at). A good time in those for her is a 19 or fast 20.
